It has been my good fortune to know many runners in the Chicago area in my 30+ years of running. When I retired in 2001 and moved to Valparaiso, Indiana, I soon became immersed in the Calumet Region Striders. As it turns out, the Striders and the Prairie State Road Runners have several members in common. When Dick Macknick began talking to me early in 2009 about the problems with the psrr.org web site, I was more than happy to look into those problems and see if I could help.

My professional background is that I have nearly 35 years involved with Information Technology. I worked for Amoco for more than 28 years and have always been intrigued and challenged by what this technology has to offer. Even though I was a high level executive in several companies, I have always enjoyed various aspects of the technology including programming and web site design and support.

After researching the problems with the web site, it became apparent that we needed to move to a new web hosting company. This was a learning experience for me and eventually led to a very inexpensive solution with lots of potential for future growth and expansion of service for our running club.
